While tourists could happily snap away at this angle, about 50 metres to the left, photography is not allowed, and the guards were quite vigilant in chasing people away if their lens strayed too far. I doubt that it's possible to stop everyone given the thousands of tourists that pass by every year.

I used a Singh Ray Gold N Blue polarizer for this shot, in order to colour the reflections of the door, and enhance the gold tones.

Magic Pool http://www.wildroad.com.au/galleries/morocco-photos/magic-pool-fes-morocco/ http://www.wildroad.com.au/galleries/morocco-photos/magic-pool-fes-morocco/#respond Mon, 10 Sep 2012 14:44:01 +0000 http://localhost:8888/?post_type=product&p=552 An old temple in Fes, Morocco. When standing at one end of the pool, there was magic at work which made the bottom appear deep at the other end, and progressively shallower towards the viewer. The situation would reverse when walking to the other side, which was unusual as the pool had a flat bottom.
