Pale pink and grey granite boulders along the shoreline, Noosa Heads, Queensland

Queensland

26°23'S 153°06'E  · Reef, rainforest & surf coast 2 photographs

Two and a half thousand kilometres of coast, and behind it everything from wet tropics to volcanic rim to the dry country out west.

In the south it is granite headlands, surf and pandanus. Further north the rainforest comes down to meet the reef, which is the only place on earth those two things touch. Warm, green, and enormous.
